     Captain William Ogilvy Scrymgeour-Wedderburn was born on 22 November 1894.1 He was the son of Henry Scrymgeour-Wedderburn of Wedderburn and Birkhill and Juliana Braddell.2 He married Joyce Jennings, daughter of Colonel Robert Henry Jennings, on 16 September 1921.1 He died on 29 October 1958 at age 63.1
     Captain William Ogilvy Scrymgeour-Wedderburn was decorated with the award of Distinguished Service Cross (D.S.C.).1 He gained the rank of Captain in the service of the Royal Navy.1 He was Chief of Staff to the Commander-in-Chief of Rosyth between 1939 and 1940.1 He was Chief of Staff to the Flag Officer of Ceylon between 1942 and 1943.1 He gained the rank of Commodore in 1943 in the service of the Royal Indian Navy, on secondment in the Bay of Bengal.1

     Joyce Jennings was the daughter of Colonel Robert Henry Jennings.2 She married Captain William Ogilvy Scrymgeour-Wedderburn, son of Henry Scrymgeour-Wedderburn of Wedderburn and Birkhill and Juliana Braddell, on 16 September 1921.1 She died in 1990.1
     From 16 September 1921, her married name became Scrymgeour-Wedderburn.1
