Henry Scrymgeour-Wedderburn was the son of David Scrymgeour of Birkhill and Katherine Wedderburn.2 He married Mary Turner Maitland, daughter of Captain Hon. Frederick Lewis Maitland of Rankeillour, on 5 April 1793.1 He died on 30 December 1841.1
Henry Scrymgeour-Wedderburn succeeded to the title of 9th Viscount Dudhope [S., 1641] in 1811, de jure.1 He succeeded to the title of 7th Earl of Dundee [S., 1660] in 1811, de jure.1 In August 1822 he attended King George IV as standard-bearer on his visit to Holyrood.1 He also had eight daughters.1
