     Captain Archibald Hamish FitzGerald Cochrane was born on 16 January 1920.1 He was the son of Commander Arthur FitzGerald Cochrane and Beryl Irma Thomas.2 He died on 28 January 1944 at age 24 at Burma, from wounds received in action.1
     Captain Archibald Hamish FitzGerald Cochrane gained the rank of Acting Captain in the service of the King's Own Scottish Borderers.1 He fought in the Second World War.1
