Major Henry Lowry Barnwell Acton was born on 30 August 1861.1 He was the son of William Acton and Georgina Lowry.1 He married, firstly, Nora Prudentia Fuller, daughter of General William Fuller, in May 1886.1 He married, secondly, Louise Vereker Dickson, daughter of Captain Philip Dickson, on 16 October 1907.1 He died on 16 June 1934 at age 72.1
