     Lieutenant Amar Henry Barnwell Acton was born on 31 August 1928.¹ He was the son of Lt.-Col. Edward Leslie Lowry Acton and Ruth Margaret Acton.¹ He died on 21 January 1952 at age 23 at Ismailia, Egypt, unmarried, from wounds while serving with the 2nd Parachute Regiment.¹
