Charles McGillycuddy was born on 8 November 1857.2 He was the son of Richard McGillycuddy, The McGillycuddy of the Reeks and Anna Johnstone.1,3 He married Maria Louisa FitzGerald, daughter of Reverend E. Loftus FitzGerald, on 20 September 1900.1 He died in 1906.1

Richard McGillycuddy, The McGillycuddy of the Reeks was born on 1 January 1790.1 He was the son of Francis McGillycuddy and Catherine Mahony.2 He married Margaret Bennett, daughter of John Bennett, in 1814.1 He married Anna Johnstone, daughter of John Johnstone and Agnes Hutton, on 6 November 1849.3 He died on 6 June 1866 at age 76.1
