     Mary L. C. Housman was born circa 1821 at Freshford, Somerset, England.1 She was the daughter of William Housman and Mary Vernon.1 She died in 1909 at Herefordshire, England, unmarried.1

     Sophia Maiters Holmes was born in 1820.1 She was the daughter of William Edward Holmes and Anne Johnston.1 She married Sir William Colles Meredith, son of Reverend Thomas Meredith and Elizabeth Graves, on 20 May 1847 at Christ Church Cathedral, Montreal, Quebec, Canada.1 She died in 1898.1
     From 20 May 1847, her married name became Meredith.1
