     Rear-Adm. Henry McClintock Alexander was born on 7 October 1834.1 He was the son of Reverend Robert Alexander and Dorothea McClintock.1 He married, firstly, Eliza Frances Charlotte Wiseman, daughter of Rear-Adm. Sir William Saltonstall Wiseman, 8th Bt., on 22 October 1864.1 He married, secondly, Agnes Hannay, daughter of Captain James Hannay, on 16 January 1877.1 He died on 17 December 1896 at age 62.1
     Rear-Adm. Henry McClintock Alexander lived at Dunduan, Coleraine, County Derry, Ireland.1
