     Ian Hew Montgomerie is the son of Hew Winton Montgomerie and Mary Laura de Greenlaw.2 He married, firstly, Elizabeth Isabella Gregg Stratford, daughter of George Rowland Stratford of Auckland.1 He and Elizabeth Isabella Gregg Stratford were divorced in 1948.3 He married, secondly, Marjorie Thelma Brookes, daughter of Albert Eugene Brookes, in 1948.1
