     Admiral Alan Robert Montgomery was born in 1905.1 He is the son of Robert Hamilton Montgomery and Evelyn Mary Vernon.1 He married, firstly, Josephine Marie Strain, daughter of Edward J. Strain, on 27 July 1928.1 He and Josephine Marie Strain were divorced in 1940.1 He married, secondly, Mary Helen Kohlhaas, daughter of George E. Kohlhaas, in 1941.1 He died on 17 April 1964.1
     Admiral Alan Robert Montgomery gained the rank of Admiral in the service of the U.S.Navy.1
