     Mervyn Archdall was the son of Reverend Mervyn Archdall and Sarah Colles.1 He married Maria Murray, daughter of John Murray, in March 1784.1 He died in 1809.1
     He was a practising Solicitor.1 He lived at Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland.1

Captain Henry Mervyn Archdall1

     Captain Henry Mervyn Archdall was born in 1785.1 He was the son of Mervyn Archdall and Maria Murray.1 He died in February 1868, unmarried.1
     He was commissioned in 1804.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the service of the 68th Regiment.1 He fought in the Peninsula War in 1808, at the Battle of Vittoria, where he picked up Joseph Buonaparte's sword, which became a family heirloom.1 He fought in the Peninsula War in 1813, he was wounded in action but recovered from his wounds.1

Lieutenant William Frederick Archdall1

     Lieutenant William Frederick Archdall was born in 1798.1 He was the son of Mervyn Archdall and Maria Murray.1 He married Elizabeth Henry, daughter of Henry Rowley Henry, on 13 June 1822, (they had issue in addition to those mentioned below).1 He died on 7 March 1865.1
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the service of the Army.1 He lived at Farm Hill, County Wexford, Ireland.1
