     Rt. Rev. Mervyn Archdall was born on 16 February 1831.1 He was the son of Lieutenant William Frederick Archdall and Elizabeth Henry.1 He married Henrietta Preston, daughter of Eyre William Preston, on 21 January 1863.1 He died on 18 May 1913 at age 82.1
     Rt. Rev. Mervyn Archdall graduated from Trinity College, Dublin University, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland, in 1856 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.).1 He was the Curate in 1856 of Templecrone, County Donegal, Ireland.1 He was ordained in 1856.1 He was the Curate in 1862 at Trinity Church, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland, and of Lislee, County Cork.1 He was the Vicar between 1863 and 1872 at Templebready, County Cork, Ireland.1 He was the Rector between 1872 and 1894 at St. Luke's, Cork, County Cork, Ireland.1 He was the Examining Chaplain to the Bishops of Cork between 1872 and 1897.1 He graduated from Trinity College, Dublin University, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland, in 1874 with a Master of Arts (M.A.).1 He held the office of Archdeacon of Cork between 1878 and 1894.1 He graduated from Trinity College, Dublin University, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland, in 1885 with a Bachelor of Divinity (B.D.) and Doctor of Divinity (D.D.).1 He held the office of Canon of St. Patrick's Cathedral in 1891.1 He held the office of Dean of Cork between 1894 and 1897.1 He held the office of Bishop of Killaloe between 1897 and 1912.1

     Henrietta Preston was the daughter of Eyre William Preston.1 She married Rt. Rev. Mervyn Archdall, son of Lieutenant William Frederick Archdall and Elizabeth Henry, on 21 January 1863.1 She died on 11 May 1903.1
     From 21 January 1863, her married name became Archdall.1

     Reverend Mervyn Archdale was born on 27 January 1868.1 He was the son of Rt. Rev. Mervyn Archdall and Henrietta Preston.1 He married Alice Sheridan Hamilton, daughter of Robert L. Hamilton, on 21 April 1897.1 He died on 1 August 1939 at age 71.1
     Reverend Mervyn Archdale graduated from Trinity College, Dublin University, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland, in 1890 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.).1 He was ordained in 1891.1 He was the Curate between 1891 and 1894 at Fermoy, County Cork, Ireland.1 He held the office of Chaplain to the Forces in Belfast and Holywood between 1897 and 1925.1 He held the office of honorary Minor Canon, Belfast between 1910 and 1937.1 He was invested as a Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) in 1919.1 He held the office of Incumbent of Ballywalter between 1925 and 1937.1
