Captain Patrick Mervyn Archdale was born on 10 December 1898.1 He was the son of George Montgomery Archdale and Lucy Glynn.1 He married Evelyn Constance Manningham-Buller, daughter of Lt.-Col. Sir Mervyn Edward Manningham-Buller, 3rd Baronet, on 30 August 1972.1 He died on 29 January 1974 at age 75, without issue.2
