     Daniel F. P. Barton was the son of Captain Daniel Barton and Margaret Simpson.1 He married Victoria Alexandrina Julia Peel, daughter of Rt. Hon. Sir Robert Peel, 3rd Bt., on 10 November 1887 in a childless marriage.1 He died in April 1907.1
