     Susan Clarke was the daughter of Thomas Clarke.1 She married Charles Berkeley, son of Reverend Rowland Berkeley and Elizabeth Wathen, on 13 October 1829.1 She died on 31 March 1888.1
     From 13 October 1829, her married name became Berkeley.1

     Francis James Berkeley was born on 9 July 1838.1 He was the son of Charles Berkeley and Susan Clarke.1 He married Ellen Bryan, daughter of E. Bryan.1 He died on 6 January 1875 at age 36.1
     Francis James Berkeley gained the rank of Captain in the service of the 17th Regiment.1

     Maj.-Gen. Frederick George Berkeley was born on 23 April 1841.1 He was the son of Charles Berkeley and Susan Clarke.1 He married Mary Louisa Dickson, daughter of Hon. Walter H. Dickson, on 28 September 1865.1 He died on 3 December 1906 at age 65.1
     Maj.-Gen. Frederick George Berkeley was commanding officer of the 47th Regiment District.1
