     Lt.-Col. Robert Esme Berkeley was born on 27 November 1873.1 He was the son of Maj.-Gen. Frederick George Berkeley and Mary Louisa Dickson.1
     Lt.-Col. Robert Esme Berkeley was educated at Wellington College, Wellington, Berkshire, England.1 He was educated at Royal Military College, Sandhurst, Berkshire, England.1 He fought in the Boer War between 1899 and 1902.1 He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in desptaches.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the service of the 2nd Battalion, Loyal Regiment.1 He was decorated with the Companion, Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.).1 He lived in 1952 at 12 Broomfield Court, Sunningdale, Berkshire, England.1

     Lt.-Col. Edmund Henry Berkeley was born on 10 October 1844.1 He was the son of Charles Berkeley and Susan Clarke.1 He married Lucy Sophia Churchill, daughter of George Churchill, on 4 January 1881.1 He died on 23 March 1927 at age 82.1
     Lt.-Col. Edmund Henry Berkeley gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the service of the Dorset Regiment.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.).1 He lived at West Coker House, Somerset, England.1
