Sir Charles John Dalrymple-Hay of Park Place, 5th Bt. was born on 21 March 1865.1 He was the son of Sir John Charles Dalrymple-Hay of Park Place, 3rd Bt. and Hon. Eliza Napier.2 He married Rose Hickman, daughter of Captain W. T. Hickman, on 17 April 1906.1 He died on 22 March 1952 at age 87.1
Sir Charles John Dalrymple-Hay of Park Place, 5th Bt. was with the Foreign Office between 1887 and 1895.1 He was with the Privy Counsel Office between 1895 and 1928.1 He was invested as a Member, Royal Victorian Order (M.V.O.) in 1924.1 He was invested as a Commander, Royal Victorian Order (C.V.O.) in 1928.1 He succeeded to the title of 5th Baronet Dalrymple-Hay, of Park Place, co. Wigtown [G.B., 1798] on 5 February 1929.1
