     Kenneth Houston Dalrymple-Hay was born in August 1896.1 He was the son of Richard Tycho Dalrymple-Hay and Bessie Cheesbrough.2 He married Sylvia Conroy, daughter of Dr. L. Conroy, on 23 July 1932.1 He and Sylvia Conroy were divorced in 1947.1 He married Marjorie Susan Hennell, daughter of Erwin Charles Hennell, on 30 March 1954.1
     Kenneth Houston Dalrymple-Hay fought in the First World War.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the service of the Australian Machine Gun Corps.1 He was invested as a Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.).1 He fought in the Second World War.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the service of the Royal Australian Naval Volunteer Reserve (Coastwatcher).1 He was member of the British Solomon Islands Advisory Council in 1953.1
