Elizabeth Beamish1

     Elizabeth Beamish was the daughter of John Beamish.1 She married Lieutenant Bernard Beamish, son of Richard Beamish and Elizabeth Bernard, on 5 January 1839 in a childless marriage.1 She died in 1868.1

     John Beamish was the son of John Beamish and Elizabeth Poole.2 He married, firstly, Jane Howe, daughter of John Howe, in 1795.2 He married, secondly, Mary Hewitt, daughter of Thomas Hewitt, on 21 September 1811.2 He died on 29 January 1848.2
     He was a Freeman of Bandon in 1797.2 He was the Master of the Foxhounds between 1820 and 1848 at Cashelmore, Desert, County Cork, IrelandG.2 He lived at Cashelmore, in Desert1 and at Hare Hill, in Knockaveale both in County Cork, Ireland.2

     Captain Samuel Beamish-Bernard was the son of Richard Beamish and Elizabeth Bernard.1 He married Ellen Byrne, daughter of Godfrey Byrne, in 1818.1 He was buried on 30 April 1853.1
     He was given the name of Samuel Beamish at birth.1 His name was legally changed to Captain Samuel Beamish-Bernard when he assumed the additional surname of Bernard.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the 84th Foot.1

Ellen Byrne1

     Ellen Byrne was the daughter of Godfrey Byrne.1 She married Captain Samuel Beamish-Bernard, son of Richard Beamish and Elizabeth Bernard, in 1818.1 She was buried on 3 July 1843, aged 43.1
     Ellen Byrne also went by the nick-name of Elinor.1 From 1818, her married name became Beamish-Bernard.1

     Arthur Beamish-Bernard was the son of Captain Samuel Beamish-Bernard and Ellen Byrne.1 He married Elizabeth MacCarthy in 1852.1
     He sold the last remnants of the Palace Anne estates circa 1875.1 He lived at U.S.A.G.1

Richard Beamish-Bernard1

     Richard Beamish-Bernard was the son of Captain Samuel Beamish-Bernard and Ellen Byrne1, during which he was killed in action. His death as reported in this source document as 1866, which is likely an error 1866.2
     He fought in the Battle of Antietam at Antietam, Maryland, U.S.A.G.1

     Elizabeth Brampton Beamish-Bernard was baptised on 25 March 1823.1 She was the daughter of Captain Samuel Beamish-Bernard and Ellen Byrne.1 She married Montiford Longford MacCarthy.1 She died in 1862.1
     Her married name became MacCarthy.1
