     John Beamish was the son of Richard Beamish and Mary Vincole.1 He married Eliza Poole, daughter of Thomas Poole, on 10 August 1767.1 He was buried on 8 April 1827.1
     John Beamish was the Master of the Foxhounds between 1787 and 1820 at Cashelmore, Desert, County Cork, Ireland.1 He was a Freeman of Bandon in 1797.1 He lived at Cashelmore, at Desert1 and at Hare Hill, at Knockaveale, with both houses being in County Cork, Ireland.1
