     Major Sackville Edward Cecil Hamilton Beamish was born on 13 May 1872.1 He was the son of Rear-Adm. Henry Hamilton Beamish and Blanche Georgina Hughes.1 He married Beatrix Caithness, daughter of James E. Caithness, on 12 November 1913.1 He died on 22 November 1947 at age 75.1
     He was educated at St. Paul's School, London, EnglandG.1 He was educated at United Services College, Westward Ho!, Devon, EnglandG.1 He was educated at Royal Military College, Sandhurst, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He fought in the Second Ashanti Campaign in 1895.1 He fought in the First World War, during which he was mentioned in despatches.1 He retired from the military in 1922, with the rank of Major, late of the West Indies Regiment.1 He held the office of Town Councillor and Inspector of Schools between 1931 and 1934.1

     Beatrix Caithness was the daughter of James E. Caithness.1 She married Major Sackville Edward Cecil Hamilton Beamish, son of Rear-Adm. Henry Hamilton Beamish and Blanche Georgina Hughes, on 12 November 1913.1 She died on 8 April 1959.1
     From 12 November 1913, her married name became Beamish.1
