     Richard Beamish was born on 16 July 1798.1 He was the son of William Beamish and Anne Jane Margaret Delacour.1 He married Theodosia Mary Heise, daughter of Lt.-Col. Augustus Charles Heise Heise and Theodosia Arabella King, in 1831.1 He died on 20 November 1873 at age 75.1
     Richard Beamish gained the rank of between 1815 and 1819 in the service of the Coldstream Guards.1 He was registered as a Member, Institution of Civil Engineers (M.I.C.E.) in 1829.1 He was invested as a Fellow, Royal Society (F.R.S.) in 1836.1 He was a civil engineer.1 He wrote the book Life of Brunel, and other works.1 He lived at Woolston Lawn, Southampton, Hampshire, England.1

     Theodosia Mary Heise was the daughter of Lt.-Col. Augustus Charles Heise Heise and Theodosia Arabella King.1 She married Richard Beamish, son of William Beamish and Anne Jane Margaret Delacour, in 1831.1 She died on 23 April 1874.1
     From 1831, her married name became Beamish.1

     Captain Richard Pigott Beamish was born on 21 June 1832.1 He was the son of Richard Beamish and Theodosia Mary Heise.1 He married Hulda Elizabeth Constance Mosander, daughter of Charles Gustavus Mosander, on 20 May 1858.1 He died on 7 June 1899 at age 66.1

     Richard Henrick Beamish was born on 16 June 1861.1 He was the son of Captain Richard Pigott Beamish and Hulda Elizabeth Constance Mosander.1 He married Violet Edith Campbell, daughter of Lt.-Gen. Sir William Pitcairn Campbell, on 14 October 1903.1 He died on 23 February 1938 at age 76.1
     Richard Henrick Beamish was educated at Haileybury College, Haileybury, Hertfordshire, England.1 He was the first Chairman and Managing Director of Beamish & Crawford, Ltd between 1901 and 1930.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.).1 He held the office of Mayor of Cork in 1906.1 He held the office of High Sheriff of the City of Cork in 1907, and again in 1911.1 He was invested as a Fellow, Linnean Society (F.L.S.).1 He held the office of Member of Dáil Éireann in 1923.1 He held the office of Alderman until 1931.1 He lived at Ashbourne, Glounthaune, County Cork, Ireland.1
