     Andrew Gildart Reid was born in 1815 at Hampstead, Middlesex, England.1 He was the son of Nevile Reid and Eliza Maria Boddam.1 He married Eliza P. M. Wiggens on 20 October 1840 at Calcutta, India.1 He died in March 1876 at Kensington, London, England.1
     Andrew Gildart Reid gained the rank of officer in 1840 in the service of the 47th Native Infantry.1 He gained the rank of Captain in 1851 in the service of the Honourable East India Company Service.1
