     Lt.-Col. Francis Lewis Rawson Gordon was born on 28 March 1878.1 He was the son of Francis Frederick Gordon and Helen Augusta Mariana Reid.1 He died on 30 January 1920 at age 41.1
     Lt.-Col. Francis Lewis Rawson Gordon fought in the Boer War.1 He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in despatches.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the service of the Royal irish Rifles and Gordon Highlanders.1 He was decorated with the award of Companion, Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1917.1
