     Francis Richard Berridge was born on 21 December 1910.1 He is the son of Lieutenant Richard Berridge and Mary Eulalia Lesley.1 He married Margaret Virginia Daw, daughter of Samuel Wilfred Peter Daw, on 6 July 1940.1
     He was educated at Downside School, Bath, Somerset, England.1 He was invested as a honorary Fellow, Faculty of Radiologists (F.F.R.) of the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (R.C.S.I.).1 He was registered as a Member, Royal College of Surgeons (M.R.C.S.) (England), and Licentiate, Royal College of Physicians, London (L.R.C.P.) in 1934 at St. George's Hospital Medical School, London, England.1 He graduated from St. George's Hospital Medical School, London, England, in 1936 with a Doctor of Medicine in Radiology (D.M.R.).1 He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, in 1936 with a Bachelor of Surgery (B.Ch.).1 He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, in 1937 with a Bachelor of Medicine (M.B.).1 He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, in 1938 with a Master of Arts (M.A.).1 He was a Consulting Radiologist for the United Cambridge Hospitals from 1946.1 He was invested as a Fellow, Faculty of Radiologists (F.F.R.) in 1951.1 He was registered as a Member, Royal College of Physicians, London (M.R.C.P.) in 1961.1 He was invested as a Fellow, Royal College of Physicians, London (F.R.C.P.) in 1968.1 He was a past editor of the British Journal of Radiology.1 He wrote numerous articles in medical publications.1 As of 1976, Francis Richard Berridge lived at The Ostrich, Burnt Street, Wells-next-to-the-Sea, Norfolk, England.1
