     Colonel Arthur Richard Cole-Hamilton was born on 29 April 1859.1 He was the son of Captain William Claud Cole-Hamilton and Caroline Elizabeth Josephine Stuart.1 He married, firstly, Jeannette Moore, daughter of Samuel Moore, on 2 January 1882.1 He married, secondly, Florence Alice Hughes, daughter of James Duke Hughes, on 18 February 1884.1 He died on 10 August 1915 at age 56 at The Dardenelles, Turkey, killed in action.1
