     Captain William Claud Cole-Hamilton was born on 8 August 1833.1 He is the son of Major Arthur Willoughby Cole-Hamilton and Emilia Katherine Beresford.1 He married Caroline Elizabeth Josephine Stuart, daughter of Hon. Andrew Godfrey Stewart and Sophia Isabella Conyngham, on 10 June 1858.2 He died on 26 November 1882 at age 49.1
     Captain William Claud Cole-Hamilton gained the rank of Captain in the service of the 88th Regiment, Royal Marines.1
