     Richard Chaloner was born on 25 April 1810.1 He was the son of Claud William Cole-Hamilton and Nichola Sophia Chaloner.1 He married Henrietta Tisdall, daughter of Charles Arthur Tisdall, in February 1835.1 He died on 29 November 1879 at age 69, without issue.1
     Richard Chaloner was baptised with the name of Richard Cole-Hamilton.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the service of the 12th Lancers.1 His name was legally changed to Richard Chaloner by Deed Poll.2 He held the office of High Sheriff of County Meath in 1842.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for County Meath.1 He lived at Kingsfort, County Meath, Ireland.1
