     William Bland was born on 8 August 1901.1 He was the son of Lieutenant Humphrey Loftus Bland and Muriel Elsie Scott.1 He married Marion Dease, daughter of Major Edmund James Dease, on 16 September 1930.1 He died on 25 January 1963 at age 61.1
