Sarah Bazett was the daughter of Henry Bazett.1 She married, firstly, Edward Stephenson.1 She married, secondly, George Capell-Coningsby, 5th Earl of Essex, son of William Anne Capel, 4th Earl of Essex and Frances Williams, on 6 June 1786.1 She died on 16 January 1838.1
Her married name became Stephenson.1 From 6 June 1786, her married name became Capell-Coningsby.1 As a result of her marriage, Sarah Bazett was styled as Countess of Essex on 5 March 1799.
