     Andrew Acres Stoney was born in 1826.1 He was the son of Andrew Stoney and Frances Moffat.1 He married Mary Frances Drought, daughter of Captain John Alexander Drought, in 1876.1
     Andrew Acres Stoney gained the rank of Surgeon-General in the service of the British Army, in the 94th Regiment adn Scots Greys.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of King's County.1 He lived at Frankfort, King's County, Ireland.1
