Bindon Blood was born on 17 March 1775.2 He is the son of Colonel William Blood and Elizabeth Bindon.2 He married, firstly, Ann Burton, daughter of Major Edward William Burton and Jane Blood, in May 1796.2 He and Harriet Bagot obtained a marriage license on 27 December 1809, this was his second marriage.2 He married, thirdly, Maria Hinckley.3 He died on 27 January 1855 at age 79.3
Bindon Blood also went by the nick-name of 'The Vampire'.2 He held the office of High Sheriff in 1819.2 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.).2 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.).2 He lived at Cranagher, County Clare, Ireland,2 and at Rockforest, County Clare, Ireland.2 In 1856 his collection of books and coins was sold at Sotherbys for £17,000.2
