     Margaret Stoney is the daughter of Robert Johnstone Stoney and Ann Smithwick.1 She married George Johnstone Stoney, son of George Stoney and Anne Blood, in 1863.1

     George Gerald Stoney was born on 28 November 1863.1 He was the son of George Johnstone Stoney and Margaret Stoney.1 He married Isabella Mary Lowes, daughter of Michael Lowes, in 1930.1 He died on 15 May 1942 at age 78, without issue.1
     George Gerald Stoney graduated from Trinity College, Dublin University, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland, with a Master of Engineering (M.A.I.).1 He was with C. A. Parsons & Company between 1888 and 1912 at Newcastle-upon-Tyne, Northumberland, England.1 He was registered as a Member, Institution of Civil Engineers (M.Inst.C.E.).1 He graduated from Durham University, Durham, County Durham, England, with a Doctor of Science (D.Sc.).1 He was registered as a Member, Institution of Mechanical Engineers (M.Inst.M.E.).1 He was registered as a Member, Institution of Electrical Engineers (M.Inst.E.E.).1 He was Professor of Mechanical Engineering between 1917 and 1926 at Victoria University, Manchester, Lancashire, England.1 He was Director of Reserach for C. A. Parsons & Company between 1926 and 1930 at Newcastle-upon-Tyne, Northumberland, England.1 He was invested as a Fellow, Royal Society (F.R.S.).1
