     Lady Mary Elspeth Sylvia Savile was born on 29 May 1914.1 She was the daughter of John Henry Savile, 6th Earl of Mexborough of Lifford and Hon. Margaret Eva de Burgh Knatchbull-Hugessen.1 She married Andrew Ramon Dalzell de Bertodano, son of Frederick Ramon de Bertodano, 8° Marquis del Moral and Lady Ida Elizabeth Dalzell, on 4 February 1937.2 She died on 25 October 1948 at age 34.1
     Lady Mary Elspeth Sylvia Savile usually went by her middle name of Sylvia.2 From 4 February 1937, her married name became Bertodano.2
