     Rt. Rev. Henry Bond Bowlby was born on 23 August 1823.1 He was the son of Captain Peter Bowlby and Elizabeth Haslewood.1 He married, firstly, Catherine Salmon, daughter of Thomas Salmon, on 29 September 1852.1 He married, secondly, Sarah Blowers King, daughter of Harry King, on 21 September 1886.2 He died on 27 August 1894 at age 71.2
     He was educated at Wadham College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.1 He graduated with a Doctor of Divinity (D.D.).1 He held the office of Bishop Suffragen of Coventry.1

     Henry Russell Bowlby was born on 17 April 1890.1 He was the son of Reverend Henry Thomas Bowlby and Annie Margaret Gedge.1 He married Hermione Hester Isabel Wisden, daughter of Frank Wisden, on 26 April 1924.1
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.1 He graduated from Balliol College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, in 1914 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.).1 He fought in the First World War.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the service of the Rifle Brigade.1 He graduated from Balliol College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, in 1917 with a Master of Arts (M.A.).1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the service of the Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve.1 He was a director of Charles Skipper and East Ltd at London, England.1 He was the joint headmaster between 1937 and 1958 at Wagner's School, South Kensington, London, England.1 He lived in 1965 at Greenbank, Liphook, Hampshire, England.1

     Reverend Henry Thomas Bowlby was born on 15 June 1864.1 He was the son of Rt. Rev. Henry Bond Bowlby and Catherine Salmon.1 He married Annie Margaret Gedge, daughter of Reverend William Wilberforce Gedge, on 8 August 1889.1 He died on 8 February 1940 at age 75.1
     He was educated at Charterhouse School, Godalming, Surrey, England.1 He graduated from Balliol College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, in 1887 with a Master of Arts (M.A.).1 He was educated at Cuddesdon Theological College, Cuddesdon, Oxfordshire, England.1 He was an Assistant Master between 1897 and 1909 at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.1 He was the Headmaster between 1909 and 1925 at Lancing College, Lancing, Sussex, England.1 He held the office of Canon of Chichester Cathedral between 1925 and 1930.1

     Catherine Salmon was the daughter of Thomas Salmon.1 She married Rt. Rev. Henry Bond Bowlby, son of Captain Peter Bowlby and Elizabeth Haslewood, on 29 September 1852.1 She died on 22 January 1875.1
      From 29 September 1852, her married name became Bowlby.1
