     William Twisden was baptised on 23 December 1741.1 He was the son of Sir Roger Twisden, 5th Bt. and Elizabeth Watton.1 He married Mary Kirk before 1765. This marriage was declared valid by the High Court on 5 July 1909.1 He died on 30 December 1771 at age 30.1
     William Twisden gained the rank of Lieutenant in the service of the Royal Navy.1 He fought in the Seven Years War in 1762, where he was wounded.1 He fought in the American War of Independence.1

     Captain John Twisden was born on 22 October 1767.1 He was the son of William Twisden and Mary Kirk.1 He married Ann Hammond, daughter of Joseph Hammond, on 9 January 1791.1 He died on 22 June 1853 at age 85.2
     Captain John Twisden gained the rank of Captain in the service of the Royal Navy.1 He succeeded to the title of 7th Baronet Twisden, of Bradbourne, Kent [E., 1666] on 3 February 1833, de jure, although he never assumed the title.1 In 1841 he succeeded to Bradbourne on the death of his cousin.2
