     William John Hampton was christened on 12 September 1856 at Kilmore Parish Church, Kilmore, County Armagh, Ireland.2 He was born in 1856 at Drumard Primate, Kilmore, County Armagh, Ireland.1 He was the son of William Hampton and Mary Rowntree.1 He married Jeannie Hamilton-Russell in 1887.2,3 He died in 1895.2
     William and Eliza Jane Hampton immigrated to New Zealand, arriving on 1873.4
