     John Frederick Shaw was born on 4 November 1896 at George Street, Rockdale, New South Wales, Australia.1 He was the son of John Hamilton Shaw and Phoebe Kate Allen.1 He married Gladys Muriel Fairey, daughter of Frederick Charles Bonfield Fairey and Frances Mary Allen, on 18 June 1921 at St. Clements Church, Marrickville, New South Wales, Australia.1 He died on 19 October 1965 at age 68 at Concord Hospital, Concord, New South Wales, Australia.1
