     Alfred Alyson Fennell Minchin was born on 25 August 1887.1 He was the son of Henry Paul Minchin and Lavinia Fennell.1 He married Kathleen Winifred Molesworth, daughter of Colonel William Molesworth, in 1919.1 He died on 10 June 1973 at age 85.1
     Alfred Alyson Fennell Minchin was educated at Marlborough College, Marlborough, Wiltshire, England.1 He was educated at Exeter College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.1 He was Conservator with the Indian Forest Service between 1908 and 1938 at Madras, India.1 He fought in the Second World War.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the service of the Duke of York's HQ.1
