     Lt.-Col. George Burridge Crawley was born on 10 March 1858.1 He was the son of Reverend Thomas William Crawley and Hannah Elizabeth Carter.2 He married, firstly, Kate Ouseley Sherlock, daughter of Surg.-Maj. Henry Sherlock, in 1882.1 He and Kate Ouseley Sherlock were divorced in 1887.1 He married, secondly, Adelaide Syer, daughter of Charles Bell Syer, in 1892.1 He died on 26 November 1932 at age 74.1
     Lt.-Col. George Burridge Crawley gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the service of the Indian Army.1
