     William Evelyn Maddock Crawley was born on 20 January 1859.1 He was the son of William Savage Crawley and Clara Marianne Maddock.2 He married, firstly, Fanny Gertrude Critchley, daughter of Arthur Wellesley Critchley, on 29 March 1894.1 He married, secondly, Harriet Gladys Chambres, daughter of Robert Chambres Chambres, on 6 December 1913.1 He died on 27 November 1926 at age 67.1
