     Algernon Stewart was born on 7 March 1811.1 He was the son of Hon. Edward Richard Stewart and Katherine Charteris.2 He married Charlotte Clement, daughter of Colonel J. Albeck Clement, in October 1833.1 He died on 4 November 1875 at age 64.1
