     Sarah Morton is the daughter of William Morton.2 She married John Giffard, son of John Giffard and Dorcas Murphy, in June 1769.1
     Sarah Morton lived at Ballynaclash, County Wexford, Ireland.1 Her married name became Giffard.

     Sir Ambrose Hardinge Giffard was born in 1771.1 He was the son of John Giffard and Sarah Morton.2 He married Harriet Pennell, daughter of Lovell Pennell, in 1808.1 He died in April 1827.1
     Sir Ambrose Hardinge Giffard was invested as a Knight in 1819.1 He held the office of Chief Justice of Ceylon.1
