Stanley Lees Giffard was born in 1788.1 He is the son of John Giffard and Sarah Morton.2 He married, firstly, Susanna Meares Moran, daughter of Francis Moran, in 1814.1 He married, secondly, Mary Ann Giffard, daughter of Henry Giffard and unknown Martin, in 1830.1 He died in November 1858.1
Stanley Lees Giffard was educated at Trinity College, Dublin University, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland.1 He was a practising barrister.1 He was founder and editor of The Standard newspaper.1 He was awarded the honorary degree of Doctor of Law (LL.D.).1
