     Colonel Philip Sydney Yorke was born on 31 December 1834.1 He was the son of Venerable Hon. Henry Reginald Yorke and Flora Elizabeth Campbell.2 He married Alice Hopwood Schofield Coddington, daughter of William Dudley Coddington, on 19 May 1881.1 He died on 7 December 1881 at age 46, without issue.1
     Colonel Philip Sydney Yorke gained the rank of Colonel in the service of the 19th Bengal Lancers.1
