     Commander Wenman Humfrey Wykeham-Musgrave was born on 4 April 1899 at Barford, Warwick, Warwickshire, England.2 He is the son of Herbert Wenman Wykeham-Musgrave and Gertrude St. Aubyn Walrond.2 He married Elizabeth Ada Swift, daughter of Lionel David Piercy Swift and Frances Holdsworth Hunt, on 22 July 1930 at Eastbourne Parish Church, Eastbourne, Sussex, England.2
     Commander Wenman Humfrey Wykeham-Musgrave also went by the nick-name of Kit.2 He was educated at Royal Naval College, Osborne, Isle of Wight, England.2 He was educated at Royal Naval College, Dartmouth, Devon, England.2 In September 1914 he survived the sinking of three ships in the space of one hour: HMS Aboukir, Cressy and Hogue; torpedoed by the Germans.2 He retired from the military in 1929, late of the Royal Navy.2 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Commander in 1939 in the service of the Royal Navy.1 He lived at Barnsley, Gloucestershire, England.1
