     Elizabeth McDougall is the daughter of Thomas McDougall of Stodrig.2 She married James Haig of Bemersyde, son of Robert Haig of Bemersyde and Margaret Kerr.1
     Her married name became Haig.1

Andrew Haig of Bemersyde1

     Andrew Haig of Bemersyde was the son of James Haig of Bemersyde and Elizabeth McDougall.2 He died in 1627, unmarried.1
     In 1619 he came into possession of Bemersyde by his uncle William's disposition.1 On 23 January 1620 he had charter of Bemersyde under Great Seal.1

Robert Haig of Throsk1

     Robert Haig of Throsk was the son of James Haig of Bemersyde and Elizabeth McDougall.2 He married Elspeth Abercromby, daughter of John Abercromby and Agnes Drummond.1 He died in June 1664.1
     He lived at Throsk, St. Ninian's, Stirlingshire, ScotlandG.1

David Haig of Bemersyde1

     David Haig of Bemersyde is the son of James Haig of Bemersyde and Elizabeth McDougall.2
     His heirs held Bemersyde till his gggdaughter and sole heiress Sophia died unmarried, when as beneficiary of a settlement 1866 Arthur Balfour Haig succeeded, though he sold it 1921 for presentation to 1st Earl Haig.1 In 1636 which he camepossession of Bemersyde by disposition of uncle.1

William Haig of Bemersyde1

     William Haig of Bemersyde was the son of Robert Haig of Bemersyde and Margaret Kerr.2 He died, without issue.1
     In 1610 he came int opossession of Bemersyde by his elder brother's disposition and charter under Great Seal.1 In 1619 he made over lands to his nephew, Andrew.2 He was King's Solicitor in 1626 at ScotlandG.1 In 1627 he got back Bemersyde.1 In 1633 he was exiled and forfeit for treason.1 In 1636 he made over lands to his nephew, David.1
