     Lt.-Col. Richard Robinson Curling was the son of Reverend Joseph James Curling.2 He married Victoria Margaret Curtis, daughter of Sir William Michael Curtis, 4th Bt. and Georgina Mary Howard, on 29 April 1920.1 He died on 10 September 1953.1
     Lt.-Col. Richard Robinson Curling gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the service of the Royal Artillery.1 He was decorated with the award of Companion, Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.).1
