     He gained the rank of Sub-Lieutenant in the Royal Navy Volunteer Reserve.1 He fought in the Second World War.1

     He was educated at Sevenoaks School, Sevenoaks, Kent, EnglandG.1 He fought in the Second World War.1 He gained the rank of in the Gloucestershire Hussars.1
