Maj.-Gen. James Patrick Murray was born on 21 January 1782.1 He was the son of General Hon. James Murray and unknown Collier.1,2 He married Elizabeth Rushworth, daughter of Edward Rushworth, on 31 January 1803.1 He died on 5 December 1834 at age 52.1
